Why are You Here?

WELCOME

If you are visiting this blog you may share similar interests regarding our communities, our health, our children's education, creativity and the evolution of facilities designed and the planned for the benefit of people. I am concerned as you are that many of our public facilities don't add value to our communities. It seems that schools have become static vessels that don't engage students and spark optimism and curiosity among citizens. We believe communities should embrace healthy lifestyles, walkability, sustainability and managed growth. If you have thoughts and ideas concerning community design and their role in facilitating learning, living, recreation, worship and work we are interested in what you have to say.

VISION
Our goals are simple. Improve the success and enjoyment of citizens, enhancing our lives thru well designed communities and promoting the value of learning thru design.

McAA  understands the value of health facilities, churches, schools and public buildings in our community. We seek to make a positive difference by bring together the best of what industry and education have to offer to create flexible, engaging, dynamic and connected learning and living environments that become a positive part of the living, teaching and learning process.  Ultimately improving our community by design.

This is a journey where we will capture our learnings, outline key steps, illustrate critical insights, articulate obstacles and share methodologies and innovations from around the world. We invite and welcome your participation along the way.

PRACTICE PYRAMID

We use this pyramid to direct our thoughts and actions on a daily basis to help guide our decision making and culture building process. If you agree with many of these building blocks we may make a good team member for your next project.

SERVANT LEADERSHIP

Unlike many firms McAA strives to practice a Servant Leadership model that puts others goals, priorities, outcomes before our own. We seek  to lead thru example, understanding, shared goals and vision.
